The relaxed and informal atmosphere of the new space allows visitors the perfect backdrop in which to view the featured paintings. Seeing the work outside of a conventional gallery and in a ‘living room’ setting helps clients to make a choice for their own home. So if you aren’t sure that, for example, paintings of Italy will fit within your home, you are able to see for yourself before you buy. Check whether the Venice watercolours compliment your current decor or whether the beach scenes of Northumberland or architechture of Newcastle will look equally as elegant in your home as they do in our gallery.



A bespoke picture framing service is available at the gallery for our watercolours and prints, and we can offer our expertise to ensure your painting has the perfect finishing touch meaning you can enhance the fantastic watercolours you have purchased even more.

Visitors are welcome to see the studio and more of the process of how Alan creates his paintings. See where Alan finds his thoughts and ideas for Northumberland and Newcastle scenes and where he adapts the sights he has seen into beautiful watercolours, such as Venice, Umbria and Tuscany.

Viewing is flexible, our normal opening hours are Tuesday - Saturday 9.30 - 5.00pm but can also be open at other times by an informal appointment. However, as Alan is sometimes away painting on location, please telephone or email prior to travelling to avoid disappointment if you wish to see Alan personally.
