On Thursday 26th April, Tait Walker are holding an exhibition of work from around twenty local artists and photographers at The Great North Museum: Hancock in Newcastle in aid of Tiny Lives
The event is part of the Tait Walker 75 Years fundraising calendar, where we are aiming to raise £75,000 for local charities. All proceeds from the night, including a percentage of picture sales, will go to Tiny Lives – a charity for special care babies based at Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary.

The Bait Muzna Gallery in Muscat, Oman held the first exhibition titled “Wave of Arts” at the Sultanate’s 18 hole Golf Course at The Wave.
One of the paintings sold was of Dhows, by Alan Reed. The painting was purchased by officials of The Wave who presented it as a gift to the VIP His Highness Sayyid Kamil bin Fahd al Said who inaugurated the exhibition.

Alan has recently found him self being drawn back to the artistic challenge of capturing people’s portraits from life and has completed two charcoal drawings on paper and two oils on board so far this month.

Alan Reed Art - Latest release of an original watercolour painting of the inaugural Veterrimi IV Rugby Tournament, hosted by Durham School, took place on Saturday 23 October and despite the unrelenting rain, rugby fans turned out in their hundreds to be part of this special day. Durham School and Rugby School battled it out in the final, with the A J Dingle Trophy finally going to Rugby School. The event received extensive coverage by Sky Sports, Rugby Club News, Sky Sports News, BBC Look North, Tyne Tees TV as well as the local press.

Watch the BBC 2 Series titled “Show me the Monet“. with 10 episode begins on Monday 9th May weekdays 5:15-6:00pm. Alan will be appearing in the program on Wednesday 18th with his painting of Grey Street.
